1:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Aquatics Best Practices- Reducing Liability by Supporting Lifeguards .1 CEU

The focus of this program is to highlight best practices that can be done to reduce liability in aquatic facilities by all levels of management. The session will include identification of areas of risk to our guests and our staff in the aquatic environment. Examples of how we can best support our staff with proper training, equipment and policies. Suggestions for how to best represent your budgets to your decision makers when it comes to the need for the proper equipment, staffing levels, training opportunities and political support.
2:00 PM – 3:15 PM – Planning for the Worst by Preparing our Staff .1 CEU
Presenter: Chief Frank LoSacco, East Brunswick Police Department
It’s not IF, it’s WHEN! This session will focus on planning for the worst by preparing our staff to be vigilant. In addition to discussing what makes a strong Emergency Action/Operations Plan, Chief LoSacco will discuss topics such as dealing with active shooters, fights, angry/drunk guests, drug overdoses, large crowd evacuations and weather emergencies. The presentation will help provide some best practices for participants to bring home and update their own EAP with aquatic venues in mind.
