A quality summer camp is a critical program in any parks and recreation agency. In this session, we will discuss aspects of a quality summer camp, from well before the first day of camp, through the camp season, and after the last camper leaves. Administrative aspects such as parent and counselor handbooks, camp marketing, and counselor recruitment and training will be discussed. Camp programming will also be included, including assemblies, camp games, theme days, and more. This is a must-attend session for any professional involved in summer camp.
