About NRPA

The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) is the leading national non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of public parks, recreation and conservation. Their work draws national focus to the far-reaching impact of successes generated at the local level. Leveraging their role in conservationhealth and wellness, and social equity to improve their communities NRPA’s members of park and recreation professionals and citizen advocates are 50,000 strong and represent public spaces in urban communities, rural settings and everything in between.

NRPA brings strength to our message by partnering with like-minded organizations including those in the federal government, nonprofits, and commercial enterprises. Funded through dues, grants, registrations, and charitable contributions, NRPA produces research, education and policy initiatives for our members that ultimately enrich the communities they serve. NRPA is a strong supporter of state side Land and Water Conservation Fund. (LWCF) and introduced legislation to fund urban parks.

The New Jersey Recreation and Park Association is an Affiliate Member of NRPA.

NRPA Annual Conference

The 2018 Annual Conference will take place in Indianapolis from September 25-27th. 

Registration is open!

A New Jersey room block is available at the JW Marriott Indianapolis but you must first register for the conference and then you may register for the hotel. The State Login is NRPA18Indy and the password is forest. You will also need the login and record ID from your registration in order to book your room. The rooms fill up quickly so please make sure to book early. Please follow the steps below. The room block ends July 20th.

Please follow these steps to register for the conference and to book your room.
  
STEP ONE: REGISTRATION
Please visit: www.nrpa.org/conference/ and register for the conference. Do not proceed to the hotels from here.
 
STEP TWO: CONFIRMATION
Confirmation of your registration will be sent to you from MCI, USA, formerly Wyndham Jade.  You will find your record ID in the second paragraph, first sentence. This ID will be required with your last name to access your hotel.
 
STEP THREE: HOUSING
Go to www.wynjade.com/nrpa18 , once on the housing page you will need to select "State Housing Blocks" and follow the process for reserving your room.  You will need your record ID from your registration confirmation and last name to continue; PLUS your State Login and Password (listed above).
