Recreation Aide- Full Time and Part-Time- Township of Middle

Manages a wide range of programs geared to support older adults. Director of Recreation & Senior Services- Pemberton, New Jersey
Seeking full-time Director of Recreation & Senior Services to plan and promote recreational activities, programs and Township events for youth and senior citizens. The Director is responsible for recruitment and supervision of six full-time staff as well as approximately forty part-time and seasonal staff including lifeguards, afterschool program instructors, and group class instructors. The Director is responsible for the management of the budget of the Department of Recreation & Senior Services under the direction of the Business Administrator, including the implementation of internal controls, purchasing, and financial policies of the Township. The Director will manage indoor and outdoor recreational use of public facilities, community and senior buildings and perform project management of the Township’s Parks Improvement Program. The Director will also be responsible for the management of county, state and federal grants for activities within the purview of the department, and for the preparation of grant applications for operations and facilities grants. Computer literacy and substantial writing skills shall be required. Networking experience and skills with community organizations is required. A bachelor’s degree in recreation or sports management or a closely related field is desired. Equivalent educational experience may be substituted for the educational requirement. A minimum of five (5) years in managing and supervising recreation programming and staff is desired. Certification as a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional or as a Recreation Supervisor is preferred. Salary is negotiable within a (2020) range of $70,000 to $95,000 plus generous benefits. Recreation Leader- Marlboro Township, New Jersey
Marlboro Township is seeking a full-time Recreation Leader to join our busy program.
The Recreation Leader who joins our team will work with children and residents helping to develop and maintain a favorable public relations image. They will help facilitate a variety of planned and spontaneous program activities while promoting a safe environment. Candidates will also assist in coordinating programs for the year, maintain reporting data, compliance records and reporting any issues with equipment.
Previous experience in all aspects of the Recreation Department preferred. Applicant must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with participants. This is a fast-paced environment and candidates must be able to multi-task as well as think clearly and quickly in the event of an emergency.
Must have experience with MS Office, prior experience with Community Pass preferred. This is a shift position, standard hours are Monday through Friday, but the candidate should be available for work hours to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned. MACHINE OPERATOR/LABORER - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS - PLAINSBORO TOWNSHIP
Located in the southwest corner of Middlesex County, Plainsboro Township is approximately 12 square miles with 23,000 residents.
The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for the maintenance of all municipal owned land, buildings, facilities and roadways.
DPW is currently seeking a Machine Operator/Laborer, preferably with experience in maintaining softball, baseball and soccer fields. Snow plowing experience is also preferred. A valid license is required. Once hired an employee is required to obtain a CDL Class A license within six (6) months. The starting salary is $40,000 annually with benefits.
